We own and manage much of the infrastructure we depend upon. We own the IP range we use. Obviously it is impossible to be self-sufficient on the Internet, but as far as possible we have reduced our dependence on other suppliers. Where we have to rely on them, we choose the most reliable, and we make sure we have redundant supplies. So, for example, we have three independent upstream providers, and multiple arrangements for remote hands.
All this means that the buck stops with us. When there are problems, we deal with them. We - and therefore our customers - don't have to sit around waiting for someone else to fix what's broken.
